The petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission and takes 13.5 seconds to achieve 100 km/hr. The diesel engine is powerful as well and is run by a 1.4 Liter CRDi engine which is mated to a 6 speed transmission. It takes exactly 11.9 seconds for the Elite i20 to rev up to 100 km/hr. which is the best performance figure in the segment.
